Garlic & Herb Grilled Shrimp

Garlic & Herb Grilled Shrimp Recipe

1 pound Shrimp (P&D – Peeled & De-veined)

2-10 cloves Garlic (I like a lot of flavor and have a heavy hand for garlic)

1 small container Basil

1/2-1 bunch Parsley

Olive Oil (enough to coat the shrimp)

1-2 Lemons squeezed

Sea Salt (to taste) I go with 1/2 teaspoon max!  be careful as sea salt is much more potent than kosher salt

Pepper Corn (to taste)

Bamboo Spears (soaked in water at least 2 hours, overnight or all day is best)

Using a food processor if available, chop garlic with herbs.  Add oil & lemon juice.  Season with sea salt and pepper corns to your liking.

Pour over shrimp, or in a bag with shrimp.  Marinade for at least 1 hour, over night is awesome just be sure to add the lemon juice just before cooking so as not to precook the shrimp at all with the acid.

Skewer shrimp with bamboo spears.

Cook over flame if possible for no more that 1 minute per side.  (if broiling or grilling with lower flame, may take 2-3 minutes per side)  Cook till tender and just cooked

Let rest for 1 minute and serve

Serves 2 if you eat like me ;)
